Pipe Characteristics:

• Chromium carbide composite alloy overlay is fused to the above displayed schedule 40 pipe base metal to form an ultrahard abrasive and impact resistant inside surface.
• The composite alloy is deposited in a circumferential mode. This results in weld beads set perpendicular to the flow of pipe contents which leads to superior wear life.
• Wear-life ratio can be up to 10:1 over 600 Brinell pipe.
• Carbide(s) weld overlay hardness ranges from 55-79 Rc depending on the deposit composition.
• Available in:
  1. sizes of 3" diameter and up.
  2. lengths of 1' to 20'.
  3. One or two passes of overlay. One pass consists of approximately 1/8" to 3/16" of overlay. Two passes consists of approximately 1/4" to 3/8" of overlay. Two passes provides much more wear resistance than one pass and in many applications pipe with two passes outlasts pipe with one pass as much as 4 to 1.
